Instructions: 123 Touch Bingo (Montessori) |
Quick Instructions:
The game enables children to develop an interest in the concept of quantities and numbers with the greatest simplicity, and confers an entertaining facet on logical-mathematical learning.
The game provides for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 players. If the players are the same age, it is advisable to organise them as follows:
• 6 players (1 card for each player),
• 3 players (2 cards for each player),
• 2 players (3 cards for each player).
If, instead, the players are of different ages, it is possible to distribute 2 cards to each of the older players and 1 card to each of the younger players.
After putting the quantity-counters and the number-tokens in the bag, the children first shake them up well and then distribute the cards. In turn, in a clockwise direction, they draw a counter or a token per unit, trying to recognise by touch the quantity of object balls or the numerical number and then to position them correctly on the corresponding small circle (recycle bin) or on the corresponding rectangle (number) of their own card. If the quantities and numbers correspond to the ones on their own card, the child player wins the counters or the tokens; otherwise, he/she puts them back in the bag and passes the turn to his/her opponent. The winner is the person who first completes his/her own card(s).
An alternative way of playing is also detailed in the Instructions guide.
